ORPHANAGE

“Parents are our anchor. Parents are our comfort. Parents are home. A child without parents can suddenly be a tiny boat on an angry ocean. Some boats eventually float ashore. Some boats, float further and further from land.”

Take a moment and imagine your parents abandoning you. Some have lived through this  and some may never do.

During my time at the baby orphanage in Morocco, I gained an attachment that would last forever. Beautiful fragile children, abandoned, sentenced to to an orphanage for a crime they did not commit.

I found it difficult to comprehend why one would abandon a precious gift, it was difficult for me to judge. How could I, we all go through trails in our lives and maybe it wasn’t possible for the parents to raise the child. Maybe it was for the benefit of the child or a selfish reason, I’ll never know. All I know is that, the orphanage was one of the most heart breaking places I had ever visited.

I am certain that because of my experience at the orphanage, when the time is right, I am going to adopt a child.
