WHEN THE STORM CAME

When the storm came, remember who stood with you.

When your life was shaken.

When darkness loomed over you.

When your heart failed.

When your faith was crippled.

When your chest was so compressed to the point you had to fight for every breath.

When you were covered in ashes and debris, remember who stood with you.

Remember who spoke peace over your life.

Remember who guided you to the word of God.

Remember who prayed over your life.

Remember who stood by your side & raised you from the ashes that threatened your livelihood.

Remember your brothers & sisters that raised you and reminded you the power of prayer.

Remember those who reminded you, that life on this earth is a temporary assignment. We should never lose sight of our calling. The hour of death cannot be forecast.

Remember those who stood in the storm with you. Those who spoke over the storm with you.

There’s a new season coming, a storm fast approaching. It will bring chaos, leaving behind nothing but debris, ashes, confusion, disappointment, loss and unmet expectations. Who will stand with you when that storm comes?

Who will cast away fear with you?

Who will praise God with you in midst of this destruction.

The devil will not wait for you in a place of sin, he won’t wait for you in your fortress of addiction, or the bed of another. He’ll wait for you on the straight path you’ve been walking. When confusion, chaos, discouragement and doubt enters your life. He will use the circumstance you find yourself in as an opportunity to harvest.

Do not be fooled for the devil is very patient. He will see a ripening sin in you and wait. Like a lion he prowls, waiting for you to drop your guard. When the storm comes, be watchful, be vigilant, surround yourself with brothers & sisters who will stand in the storm with you.

“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.”

1 Peter 5:8-9

I leave you with this. Your life on this earth is temporary, you’re only a few words from salvation. I’m here for you. We are called to do life with others. I will stand in your storm with you.

Do not be consumed by the temptations of this earth. Be vigilant, be prepared. The storm is coming, the devil is on a prowl. Who will stand with you?

“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!”

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

The storm will not last forever, the storm will pass. After the storm comes the calm.

Who will stand with you?

Who will you stand with?

Like the paralytic man in Luke 5:17 who will carry you?

Who will walk into the new beginning with you?

  1. Yet again, another beautiful read. Firstly, thank you for sharing this with everyone. Secondly, I pray Allah soothes your mind and heart. Lastly, always remember, just because someone isn’t there physically doesn’t mean they don’t care or pray for you. You are a very strong soul and no matter what happens, you’ll pick yourself up again. Stay positive and blessed.
